1、报军校、国防生，免学费，包分配。全军院校是指由四总部(总参谋部、总政治部、总后勤部、总装备部)直接管理的院校。对考生来说，选择这种院校，在毕业时选择面比较宽，学员将面向全军，包括海军、空军和第二炮兵或其他陆军在内进行分配。
2、国家对公办全日制普通高校中家庭经济特别困难、无法缴纳学费的学生，特别是其中的孤残学生、少数民族学生及烈士子女、优抚家庭子女等，实行减免学费政策。烈士子女在公办学校学习期间免交学费、杂费，寄宿学生酌情给予生活补助。
3、应征入伍服义务兵役高等学校学生学费补偿国家助学贷款代偿及学费资助，国家资助学费：免学费发补贴，对于大学生参军的人，国家对其实行学费减免、获得地方政府优抚金、本专科学历8000元/年/人的补贴。至于优抚金，会根据地方差异略有不同，一般来说是18000元/年。
4、保留学籍，大学生入伍后，学校会为保留学籍，等以后退役还可以免试入学，入学转专业，退役后可以转到本校其他的专业，可以免修军事技能，并且可直接获得学分。
5、在部队荣立二等功的，符合研究生报名条件可免试攻读研究生。在本科毕业之后3年内参加研究生招生考试，初试总分加10分，同等条件下优先录取。设立“退役大学生士兵”专项研究生招生计划，面向退役大学生招生。
根据《高等学校学生应征入伍服义务兵役国家资助办法》第十一条规定，退役后自愿回校复学的学生，复学后可向学校提出学费减免。通过入伍前网上预征报名的QQ号登录学信网打印《高校学生退役复学学费减免申请表》一式两份，分别到学校财务处、学生资助管理中心审核盖章后，附《退出现役证书》复印件1份，交学校人武部集中到裕安区政府征兵办进行资格审核并办理其它复核手续。
凡由原籍入伍的退役复学学生，《高校学生退役复学学费减免申请表》在学校财务处、学生资助管理中心审核后，需要学生本人回原籍县（区）征兵办进行资格审核，最后附《退出现役证书》复印件1份交学校学生资助管理中心办理其它复核手续。

1 Those Who May Apply for a Waiver
Those who meet one of the following criteria may apply for a tuition fee waiver:

(2) Those who are unable to pay their tuition fees due to one of the following circumstances arising within six months (or one year in the case of new students or for the first semester of the year of enrollment) of the due date for payment of the fees for a particular semester :

(a) The person providing the student's school expenses passes away
(b) The student or the person providing the student's school expenses is the victim of a natural disaster
