1. 在英美国家对日期的表示稍有不同，英国通常采用日—月—年”的方式，而美国则通常采用月—日—年”的方法，如10月10日”可表示为 October 15, 2008(美)或15(th) October, 2008(英)。
2. 英语中年”的读法：四位数以下的年份，按基数词的读法读，如(公元)432年”直接读成 four hundred and thirty-two；满四位数年份，一般是两位两位地读，即读作几十几，几十几”，如1978年”通常读作 nineteen seventy-eight。
