一，动词；二，形容词。
1、表动词时，指（使）放松、松开、放宽（限制）等，是relax的过去式及过去分词形式。如：I just relaxed last night.我昨晚就放松放松。He relaxed his grip on her arm.他松开了抓紧她的手。
2、表形容词时，指放松的，自在的，无拘无束的，不受约束的。如：I felt relaxed after the test.考试过后，我感到轻松了。I like to wear relaxed jeans when I'm not at work.我喜欢在不工作的时候穿休闲牛仔裤。
①动词的过去式，如Reading in the night relaxed myself to prepare for tomorrow.②形容词，如After a big dinner,I will always watch a movie which make myself relaxed.在英语当中，很多动词如interest、surprise、disappoint等都有这样的形式，既可以做动词的过去式，又可以看成是形容词。
